Direction, not a promise

Where we're headed.

A candid look at what we are planning to build. Everything below is a direction we intend to pursue — not a shipped feature, and not a commitment.

Planned, not committed

This roadmap is non-binding and subject to change.

Everything on this page is planned, not committed. Scope, sequence, timing, and whether any item ships at all can change without notice. Nothing here is a promise, a guarantee, or a commitment to deliver, and you should not make purchasing decisions based on unreleased functionality. For what has actually shipped, see the Changelog.

On the horizon

What we're planning to build.

Each of these is marked Planned — it does not exist in the product yet.

  • PlatformPlanned

Public, programmatic API with scoped keys

A documented API and scoped API keys so you can build on Olto and automate workflows. No public or programmatic API exists today.

  • IdentityPlanned

    SSO / SAML single sign-on

Enterprise single sign-on so teams can bring their own identity provider and manage access centrally. Not available today; access is per-account.

  • EducationPlanned

LTI 1.3 with roster sync & grade passback

Standards-based LMS integration — launch from Canvas, Moodle, or Google Classroom, sync rosters, and pass grades back automatically.

  • TrustPlanned

    Independent SOC 2 audit

Engage a third-party auditor for a SOC 2 examination. Today we align controls with SOC 2 in mind, but we have not been independently audited.

  • DesktopPlanned

    Signed & notarized desktop builds

Code-sign and notarize the desktop app so it installs without operating-system security warnings. The current desktop build is unsigned.

  • AccessibilityPlanned

    Independent accessibility audit & VPAT

Commission a third-party WCAG conformance audit and publish a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
